Why Pay For Horse Racing Tips?
This question of course depends on the individual needs of you
and the quality of the service provided. Maybe you need lay
tips, tips for a staking system or just the big horse racing
meetings such as Royal Ascot, The Grand National or one of the
classics.
There are 3 kinds of tipsters available. The private tipster,
the media tipster and the non-profit tipster.
1) The Private Tipster – Subscribers to professional tipsters
have to be aware of the past performance of these services.
Anybody can claim to be a tipster but without proof you are only
asking for trouble. You can view past performances if they have
been proofing their selections to the Racing Index for example.
2) The Media Tipster – These services are paid for by
newspapers, websites etc. The benefit of these is that they are
free. The one problem is that everybody else has access to these
tips. That drives prices down and therefore eliminates the value
in these selections.
3) The Non-Profit Tipster – Services from enthusiasts can also
be worthwhile if the correct one is chosen. Unlike others, these
are not motivated by profits. You can follow these for an
unlimited amount of time to evaluate their benefits without
commitment.
In summary of the above types I recommend researching all
services for your betting needs as long as they have a proven
track record of good results. If you are doing this for fun,
choose a free tipster. If you want to make serious profits
however, a paid service is the only way to go.
Happy Hunting!
